Risks

The Risk
There have been so many injuries and deaths due to improper use of OHVs that the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) conducted an investigation which ended the sale of 3-wheeled OHVs, also Class II OHVs now have a warning sticker which warns against children under the age of 16 riding any Class II OHV over 90cc. The below size chart is related to Class II OHV’s which are 3 and 4 wheelers ONLY! These sizes listed below do not relate to Class I or III OHV’s.

What is an OHV?

• Research indicates that a major factor in OHV associated injuries is rider misuse and inappropriate rider behavior. Other contributing factors are:
  - Riding without a helmet
  - Riding with passengers unless that OHV is specifically designed to carry passengers
  - Riding while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  - Riding too fast for conditions
  - Riding on paved surfaces
  - Other risky conduct in violation of the manufacturers' warnings
